Saturday saw a whole host of games involving Kent’s non league clubs lost due to the bad weather.
Only a handful of games survived with Dartford comprehensively beaten at Kidderminster in the Blue Square Bet Premier League, whilst Maidstone United fought back from two goals down to earn a point in the Ryman South.
Cheyenne Dunkley had given Kidderminster the lead against the Darts only for Jacob Erskine to level for Tony Burman’s side all in the space of the opening nine minutes.
However, it was one way traffic after that as Jamille Matt scored a brace with Mike Williams and Lee Vaughan compounding the misery for the Kent side.
At the Gallagher Stadium in Maidstone, the weather played no real part in proceedings as the Stones got a game on in front of 1,765 fans using their 3G pitch.
Goals from Stuart King and Ade Olorunda helped spare the Stones blushes and kept Jay Saunders top of the league going into Christmas.
