Yet again, it’s been all about the weather for Kent’s non league clubs this weekend with all of the games having been called off.
Maidstone United’s game with Folkestone Invicta had already been called off on Thursday with the pitch at Sittingbourne Football Club deemed unplayable.
Dover Athletic’s Blue Square Bet South fixture at Farnborough was one of the higher profile fixtures to be lost to the weather when it was called off around 6pm on Friday evening.
Games involving Chatham Town, Cray Wanderers, Ramsgate, Sittingbourne and Whitstable Town have also fallen to the weather.
Margate’s game against Harrow Borough at Hartsdown Park was the first to go on Saturday morning despite an heroic effort throughout the week to get the game on.
Welling United’s game at Maidenhead United went shortly after 10am on Saturday morning, with Tonbridge Angels game at Eastleigh following shortly after and Dartford’s match with Sutton United going the same way.
Bromley’s game with Staines Town went about 10:30am with Ebbsfleet United’s game against Alfreton Town the last one to go in Kent.
