A physical Leeds side beat the Addicks 1-0 at Sparrows Lane on Monday afternoon.
Jason Euell gave starts to Callum Harriott and Joe Pigott, as well former Leyton Orient, Chelsea and Sheffield Wednesday youngster, Stephen Obileye.
Obileye was born in Hackney and celebrates his 20th birthday on Tuesday.
A goal by Zac Thompson just before the half-hour mark was enough to give Leeds the win.
Charlton lost midfielder, Ollie Muldoon, to a nasty challenge.
Charlton: Mitov; Osborne, Thomas, Obileye, Holmes-Dennis; Muldoon (Cumberbatch 66), Munns, Daniel (M Kennedy 85), Harriott; Sho-Silva (Ahearne-Grant 61), Pigott.
Subs (not used): Beeney, Pyke.
Booked: Thomas 37 (handball.)
It became apparent fairly early on Monday that it was unlikely that the Addicks would be bringing any new players in.
Long time target, Andy Delort, finally completed his move to Wigan. There were various names associated with Bob Peeters’ team but no further deals were completed.
Unattached players – such as Sylvan Ebanks-Blake – can still be signed and the emergency loan window will open next week.
There were rumours that Everton and Newcastle were interested in signing talented defender, Joe Gomez, but Charlton do not intend to sell Gomez.
No deadline day deals for Addicks
