The defeat left Andy Woodman’s team in thirteenth place with 52 points from 39 games, having won, drawn and lost 13 games each for far this campaign, a very creditable record in the debut EFL season.
Having not picked up a win in four games, Woodman said post match that he wanted Bromley to get back to keeping clean sheets, stop making silly mistakes when in possession and take more of the chances they are creating.
Newport County have only won one of their last five games, on Saturday The Exiles lost 2-0 at home to Notts County, which has left them in eighteenth with 46 points from 39 matches.
Head Coach Nelson Jardim was proud of his team’s efforts at Meadow Lane and said that his side would have to be ready for a tough challenge against Bromley who play a very different style to The Magpies.
When the sides met at Hayes Lane in December, Bromley ran out 5-2 winners, Omar Sowunmi, Callum Reynolds, Michael Cheek, Jude Arthurs & Ben Thompson with the goals for The Ravens, while County’s came from Kieran Evans & Kie Whitmore.
