Holcombe Hockey Club have confirmed the signing of Madeleine Newitt from Beeston ahead of the 2024/25 season. 

Newitt has vast Premier Division experience and joins Holcs as they prepare for their first season back in the top-flight having won promotion from Division One South at the first attempt under Great Britain international Nick Bandurak. 

Beeston were relegated from the Premier Division in 2023/24 after a long spell in the top-flight but did win a third successive England Hockey Tier One Championship with last Monday’s 2-1 win over Holcombe at Lee Valley. 

On the move, Newitt said: “I’m really excited about joining the group off the back of an incredible season they’ve had and having the opportunity to work with Nick!”

Head coach Bandurak added: “Mads will bring some highly valued Premier League experience to our forward line next season and I’m really looking forward to working with her.

“She will fit really well into our exciting group both on and off the field and I’m looking forward to seeing her impact throughout the season.”
