Holcombe Hockey Club have announced the arrival of New Zealand international Kaitlin Cotter, who joins up with the Women’s 1s’ squad ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Cotter is Nick Bandurak’s second addition of the summer as he prepares for a first season back in the Premier Division following last season’s promotion from Division One South.
She made her international debut in 2020 aged just 18 and is a rising star in the Black Sticks’ set-up, scoring four times in 32 caps from defence, with appearances at both the 2022 World Cup and Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
Cotter is currently playing for Bay Independent Club in Hawkes Bay.
On joining Holcombe, she said: “I’m really looking forward to being a part of the club and can’t wait to meet everyone!”
Head Coach Bandurak added: “Kaitlin’s international experience will be a huge asset to the group ahead of the new season and I’m thrilled that she’s chosen Holcombe for the 2024/25 campaign.
“Her range of passing and threat at penalty corners will add an exciting dimension to our play and I’m really looking forward to seeing her at Holcombe Park.”
Further signings and updates will be announced in due course.
