Laura Tillett brings us up to date with what has been going on recently in her latest blog today.
It was lovely to have a break from things during the Christmas holidays. Although, for every day I wasn’t training, I felt I should be, especially with the entire food intake over that week.
Now Christmas is over, it is nice to get back in the swing of training and preparing myself for the next and final round of the MRF Challenge in January.
Before heading off to the MRF race in Chennai India for the 20th-25th I will be making an appearance at the Autosport Show in Birmingham.
When I say appearance I am actually working on my Dads stand (Tillett Racing Seats) for the entire week. It is great fun to be able to meet and get involved with all the racing enthusiasts, but four days solid on your feet, starts to wear you down so by Sunday I will most likely be flaking.
I can’t wait to be a part of the Autosport Show again, it is also a great chance to meet new people, potential sponsors, and possible opportunities whilst there.
With that in mind, I will hopefully find a drive very soon so I can start testing for the 2015 series, like it is for everyone else, it is very tricky to find funding for motorsports especially for the level that I am aiming to compete at.
I will be on the Stand at the Autosport Show from Thursday-Sunday so pop along and say hi (without being biased the seats on the Tillett stand are looking pretty exciting this year).
I am also very much looking forward to getting back out in the car again in India. It feels like forever since the last time I was driving and I am really starting to miss my car. With a seventh in the last round, I am hoping for a top five and possibly a podium.
