Following last weekends three thrilling races at Thruxton, Alex Nevill and the rest of the Mini Challenge Cooper Trophy grid return to action this Saturday at the Snetterton 300 circuit in Norfolk.
Following a trio of top ten finishes at Thruxton, Alex has launched himself from 22nd to eighth in the championship standings just 42 points away from the lead.
With 50 points available for a win and three rounds left, there’s still time for the Kent based driver to make a run for the title.
With Snetterton being one of the circuits Alex has more experience of, he’s optimistic about his chances this weekend.
He said: “Snetterton is where myself and the team (Graves Motorsport) have done most of our testing in preparation for this season, so I’m hopeful that will help us to be on the pace this weekend.
“The circuit itself is a very different challenge to either of the circuits we’ve raced at already this year (Oulton Park and Thruxton,) as it’s a lot more technical in its nature.
“It’ll be interesting to see what that means in terms of who’s fast this weekend compared to the current championship standings.”
Round three of the Cooper Trophy will feature two 15 minute races, before the championship moves on to Croft in two weeks.
