Goalkeeper Stuart Nelson has signed a new two year deal at Gillingham Football Club.

The 34-year-old keeper, who joined the Gills in 2012 has agreed the new deal, keeping at the MEMS Priestfield Stadium until 2018.

Having been linked with a move to Southend United and having been out of contract at The Gills, Nelson has put pen to paper on the deal making him Justin Edinburgh’s latest summer signing.

Nelson came third in Gillingham Football Club’s Player of the Year awards in May, after impressing as the team’s first-choice goalkeeper all season, playing every game and keeping 14 clean sheets.
