Moussa makes Addicks return
Moussa makes Addicks return

Franck Moussa made his comeback in the Under-21 game with Coventry that ended 1-1 at Sparrows Lane on Monday afternoon.

Moussa started the game and was impressive before being substituted at the break. He even tried to emulate Ahmed Kashi’s goal at Peterborough, with an audacious effort from 40 yards.

Charlton will probably look to send Moussa out on loan in the next few weeks and former club, Coventry, would be an ideal destination for him.

Moussa was on the Sky Blues’ books before switching to The Valley last summer.

Steau Bucharest’s website is saying that the club has cancelled George Tucudean’s contract. Tucudean left The Valley in January and signed a loan deal with Steau until next summer.

It is unknown what recall/return clauses are in the contract with Steau. It is unusual to be able to return players on long term loan deals outside of either of the transfer windows.

Whatever the technicalities, it seems certain that Tucudean will return to Charlton. He can not be loaned or sold to a foreign team until January, the only option open to the Addicks is a short term domestic loan. Tucudean’s contract at The Valley runs until the summer of 2017,

It will be interesting to see if Guy Luzon tries to rehabilitate the Romanian striker into the Charlton squad.

The second priority phase for the sale of tickets for the third round Capital One Cup game at Crystal Palace on 23 September, kicked in on Monday morning.

There was heavy demand for the tickets, which completely sold out by mid afternoon.

The always eagerly anticipated match up of the South London rivals will have added spice this time. The Eagles are flying high in the Premier League under the stewardship of former Addicks boss, Alan Pardew.
