Dale Stephens completed his move to Brighton on Thursday, allowing the Seagulls to sell Liam Bridcutt to Premier League team, Sunderland.Dale Stephens2

The deal is though to be worth up to £750,000 to the Addicks. The Bolton born 24-year-old joined the club from Oldham in the summer of 2011 for a fee of around £400,000.

Stephens made 91 appearances for Charlton, including 6 as a substitute and scored 10 goals, many of them spectacular.

Aston Villa have been long term admirers of Stephens and the player was desperately close to joining Villa in August of 2012.

A fee has been agreed with Bournemouth for striker, Yann Kermorgant, thought to be in the region of £500,000. Chris Powell is keen to keep his talisman but it is thought the Cherries have made him a better offer.

Kermorgant is settled in the Greenwich area and would ideally like to stay at the club. The Frenchman did train at Sparrows Lane on Thursday, so the Addicks still have the opportunity to make Kermorgant an acceptable offer.

Another player who has been attracting attention from Brighton – as well as Reading – is Rhoys Wiggins, but the talented left-back will be staying put.

There is an offer on the table that will keep Wiggins at the club until the summer of 2018, and the Welsh international agreed to the new deal on Thursday afternoon.

Chris Powell told the assembled press corps on Thursday morning that young striker, Joe Pigott, could be loaned out to a League One side. There are just a few details to iron out before the move is completed. Regular league football will be valuable experience in Pigott’s development.

Powell also said that he would be willing to let Bradley Pritchard and Jordan Cook go out on loan.

Following the signing of Loic Nego, the Addicks have completed the signing of Iranian international, Reza Ghoochannejhad, from Standard Liege on a two-and-a-half year deal.

More commonly known as Gucci, the 26-year-old striker trained at Sparrows Lane on Thursday. He will travel to Wigan but as he has not played for a few weeks, his initial appearances could be from the bench.

Highly rated Polish striker, Piotr Parzyszek, will also complete a move to The Valley, subject to passing a medical on Friday.

The 20-year-old attracted attention from Benfica in the summer and has recently been on West Ham’s radar. Parzyszek has scored 23 goals in 52 appearances for Dutch club De Graafschap. Parzyszek will pen a four-and-a-half-year contact.

Powell himself is out of contract in the summer and is keen to sort his future out but Sky Sports journalist, Pete O’Rourke, Tweeted that doubts surrounding Powell’s future at The Valley have started to emerge. Powell’s legion of fans will hope the story is without substance.
