The Mini Se7en Racing Club are expecting a record entry of more than 50 cars to compete at the inaugural Brands Hatch Mini Festival on 16/17 June.
The famous club, which has been organising Mini races since 1966, has been overwhelmed with entries for the two scheduled Mini Se7en and Mini Miglia races at the Kent circuit. More than 50 cars are due to take part throughout the weekend, a sight which hasn’t been seen since the early 1990s.
Amongst the bumper entry for the event is Peter Baldwin, who is arguably one of the most successful Mini racers the marque has ever seen. Baldwin has returned to racing this season after spending four years away from the track and will certainly be one to watch. With such a big turnout for the event, the action is set to be intense around the 1.2 mile Indy circuit.
Min Se7en Racing Club organiser Colin Peacock said: “We are extremely thrilled with the entry for the Brands Hatch Mini Festival. The event has really captured the imagination of Mini racers and we have more cars for this event than we did for Mini’s 50th birthday.
“Mini racing is always close and especially so around Brands Hatch so we should put on quite a spectacle.”
Discounted tickets are available direct from the circuit by clicking here or by calling 0843 453 9000. Two-day admission is just £21 online, whilst children 12 and under are admitted free. Mini owners will be entitled to privileged parking inside the venue free of charge.
