As you would expect, the New Den was a cauldron of noise as both sets of fans got behind their teams.
Chris Powell brought Dorian Dervite in to replace the suspended Michael Morrison at the back. Dale Stephens returned at the expense of Manny Frimpong, with Rob Hulse paired with Yann Kermorgant at the front.
The rock solid Addicks defence dealt with everything that was thrown at it. Cort and Dervite kept Chris Wood and Andy Keogh at bay and Chris Solly even cleared a Dany N’Guessan effort off the line.
Little was seen of Charlton as an attacking force and David Forde in the Millwall goal did not have a serious save to make. Not a classic by any means but Powell will be delighted by the character his team showed.
