Ebbsfleet United have today announced that striker Danny Mills has joined Welling United on a season-long loan.
Mills had spent much of the last campaign out on loan, with a stint at Dartford, he was made available for transfer at the start of the summer.
The 27-year-old who joined the Fleet from Whitehawk will now link up with his former manager Steve King at Park View Road for the coming campaign.
Mills will be a direct replacement at the National League South side for Adam Coombes who left the Wings for Billericay Town today for an undisclosed fee.
Danny was prolific under King at Whitehawk, scoring an impressive 58 goals in two seasons before he moved to Kent, and no doubt he will be looking to continue that as he takes to Park View Road as the season gets underway.
Speaking about joining Welling, Mill said: “Obviously I know the gaffer (King) very well from our time at Whitehawk and I feel that I played my best football under him during our time there, scoring nearly 60 goals during two seasons.
“Looking at the squad, I know a lot of the boys like JP Kissock, Dave Ijaha and Ach (Anthony Acheampong) from playing with or against them over the years and definitely think that the squad is capable of promotion under the most successful manager at this level.
“Personally, I’m excited to get playing again after a stop-start season last year and I’ll be looking to play 40-50 games like I’ve done in previous seasons and set 20 goals as a benchmark.”
