Former Queens Park Rangers midfielder, Oscaar Gobern, will link up with the Addicks this week, and is likely to get a run out in the Ipswich match on Tuesday evening.
Gobern is 25-years-old, 6’3″ tall, a defensively minded midfielder, and a product of the fabled Southampton academy.
His best spell was at Huddersfield, whom he joined in 2011, after leaving the Saints. Gobern made 51 league starts for the Terriers, and a further 20 appearances from the bench, scoring 3 goals, during his four years with the Yorkshire club.
He joined Queens Park Rangers last summer, but the move did not work out for him. He has also had loan spells at MK Dons, Chesterfield and Doncaster.
Russell Slade will be able to field a much stronger side against the Tractor Boys. As well as Gobern, Simon Moore, Ademola Lookman, Kevin Foley, Chris Solly and Nicky Ajose are expected to be available again.
It will be a busy week at The Valley.
