Defender Robbie McKenzie has returned Gillingham joining on a permanent contract, just months after having left the club.
The 23-year-old left ME7 at the end of last season but a deal has been struck to see him come back to Kent, and he could feature on Saturday at home to Swindon if given clearance.
McKenzie, who signed for the Gills for the first time in the summer of 2020 after leaving Hull, played 84 times and scored five goals in his opening two seasons at Priestfield, winning the Players’ Player of the Year in May after a string of fine performances.
Robbie is able to play anywhere across the back line and can also operate in defensive midfield. He is likely to train with his new teammates for the first time on Friday morning.
