A Gillingham youngster has earned a trial with a top flight Swedish side.

Nineteen year old forward Noel Mbo has gone to Scandinavia to have a trial with Helsingborgs, Priestfield confirmed on Thursday after making his League One debut on Boxing Day in the home win over Portsmouth.

They played in the Swedish second tier, Superettan in 2018, but was promoted to Allsvenskan ahead of the 2019 season. Formed in 1907, the club has won five national championship titles and five national cup titles.
