Margate Football Club have today completed the signing of 28 year old former Sheffield Wednesday forward Wade Small.

Capable of playing across the front line, he started his senior career in 2003 at Wimbledon / MK Dons. The Croydon born player went on to play for Sheffield Wednesday – signing for a “substantial but undisclosed fee” – scoring eight goals in 74 appearances, Blackpool (on loan), Charlton Athletic, Chesterfield Town and Aldershot Town in the Football League.

He then dropped into non-league playing for Lewes and Tooting & Mitcham United.

Wade goes straight into the squad for tomorrow’s match against Leatherhead at Hartsdown Park.

Meanwhile, Margate Football Club is offering savings on the early purchase of Season Tickets for the 2012/13 season.
