Henry Newcombe has agreed terms on a deal to join the Gate on July 1st from Wycombe Wanderers, Newcombe is a local lad having started his career at Gillingham FC.
He came through the youth ranks at the Gills before he turned professional with the Medway club, following that season he made the move to Wycombe and last year had a spell out on loan.
Speaking about making the move to Margate, with the club’s website, he said: “I am excited that I have agreed terms to join Margate. I had a number of options for the upcoming season but as soon as I knew of Margate’s interest, they were the club I wanted to join. The club are putting together a good side, I am looking forward to being part of it, and cannot wait to get started!”
This afternoon the club announced they have been able to secure the services of Lee Prescott for the 2018/19 season which is the second coup for the club this week, following the signing of Newcombe.

Having been a man in demand, joint manager Mike Sandmann was pleased to get Prescott to put pen to paper, he said: “Steve and I are pleased that Lee has agreed to stay with us at Margate. He had plenty of offers to move elsewhere but wants to be a part of what we have built for the upcoming season.”
