After Saturday’s 2-2 draw in the National League Bromley and Maidstone United meet again on Tuesday night in the Kent Reliance Senior Cup Semi Final, this time at The Gallagher Stadium.
Bromley manager Neil Smith said he would give players who need game time a chance, but would also have to be careful to manage the workload of some players with the FA Trophy and Play Off challenge in mind.
In the previous two rounds The Ravens have fielded a mixture of squad and Academy players for the wins over Ebbsfleet United (1-0) and Margate (2-1), although some of the players who featured are now out on loan.
Maidstone reached the semi final with 2-1 wins over both Tonbridge Angels and Gillingham.
Manager Jay Saunders may well have the chance to field a much stronger side with his team sitting in mid table and with a number of new signings joining in recent weeks, including former Bromley player Blair Turgott who scored on his debut against The Ravens at the weekend.
The Stones haven’t beaten Bromley since the two sides met in the Kent Senior Cup back in the 2014/15 season, but they will be eyeing up the opportunity of changing this and securing a place in a cup final at the end of the season.
