Maidstone United progressed through to the final of the Kent Reliance Senior Cup with a comfortable win over a young Bromley side who battled hard, but were unable to match a near full strength Stones side.
Maidstone started the game on top, Blair Turgott fired over against his old side and after Frankie Sutherland had an effort saved for Bromley, The Stones then created a number of chances.
Darius Osei fired wide, Turgott was off target and then Jack Richards had two effort saved by MaxHuxter. The Ravens best chance of the half fell to Tahjae Anderson, but he headed over from a corner when well placed ten yards out.
Maidstone eventually made their dominance count on 28 minutes when Turgott raced into space down the left and crossed for Delano Sam-Yorke to turn the ball home sliding in at the far post.
Reece Prestedge and Josh Hare went close soon after, while Bromley created one more chance just before the break when Sutherland sent in a dangerous free kick which Kristian Campbell turned just wide of the post.
Bromley started the second half well with Sutherland having a free kick saved after a foul on the lively Aiden Enver.
The promising beginning came to nothing though and the home side went two up ten minutes in when Sam-Yorke scored his second goal, heading home a great ball from Jack Paxman.
The Ravens battled back from there and after Enver had seen his shot saved by Lee Worgan, Omar Bugeil scored his first goal for the club driving the ball low into the corner of the net from just side the box.
After an even spell Maidstone shifted up a gear a put the game beyond doubt with two goals in two minutes. Turgott converting another good pass from Paxman before Darius Osei made it 4-1 turning in another great Paxman cross from close range past a static defence.
Bromley did pull one back with nine minutes to go when Bugeil caught Worgan in possession on the edge of his box and rolled the ball into an open net with the keeper stranded, but they didn’t really threaten after that.
The home side did suffer one set back late on when Sam-Yorke was carried off after a heavy challenge from Jordan Higgs for which he was booked.
Bromley now travel to Tranmere Rovers in the National League on Saturday looking to get their play off bid back on track.
