Maidstone United have completed the signing of former Chelsea defender Jon Harley on a non-contract basis.
Jon, who was born and bought up in Kent’s county town, joins the club after a spell as a free agent after being released by Portsmouth in January.
The left back began his career at Chelsea, for whom he now works for as a youth coach, joining the club as a teenager before going on to make 42 senior appearances.
He then moved onto Fulham for a reported fee of £3.5 million, and can also call upon West Ham, Sheffield United and Watford in an impressive-looking CV.
Harley made 26 appearances for League One side Portsmouth this season and has made 482 senior appearances in a career that has spanned almost fifteen years with three caps for the England Under 21 side.
The 33-year-old will be in contention for his first appearance with the club this weekend at Chipstead.
