Gillingham have announced the season long loan signing of winger Connor Mahoney from Huddersfield Town.

The 26-year-old is no stranger to having worked with Gills manager Neil Harris, having played for him at Millwall, where he signed for £1.1 million.

Mahoney is a versatile player who can play on either wing or if needed he can play through the middle as well, offering Gillingham an attacking winger that they have been seeking all summer.

He is midway through a two year contract at Huddersfield Town having joined from Millwall on a free transfer last summer.

Mahoney definitely has experience having played over 100 times in the Sky Bet Championship.

As well as Huddersfield and Millwall, Mahoney has played for Bournemouth, Blackburn, Birmingham City and Barnsley

He will go straight into the squad for the Gills home game against Colchester United tomorrow.
