Steve Lovell’s wait to manage his first game in charge at Welling United will have to go on a little longer after Saturday’s game was postponed.

The Wings were due to face fellow Kent side Tonbridge Angels in the National League South at Park View Road at the weekend, presenting Lovell with his first game in charge since taking over from Brad Quinton.

However, cases of Covid-19 within the Tonbridge Angels camp have forced the game to be called off along with Tonbridge’s home game against Hampton and Richmond Borough scheduled for Saturday 23rd January.

Welling’s next fixture now seems set to be the away league fixture at Hungerford Town on Saturday 23rd January with Dartford due to face the same opposition at home this weekend.
