Steve Lovell has left his role as Director of Football at Ebbsfleet United as Reece Grant signs.
It has certainly been a busy summer at the Kuflink Stadium, with Lovell overseeing a whole raft of new signings.
In an update to supporters today the club have announced that Lovell has now left his role following the recruitment period and pre-season coming to an end. Wishing him all the best in for his next role.
Hot on the heels of this announcement the Fleet announced that striker Grant has joined the club from Dagenham and Redbridge.
The 25-year-old has already played against the Fleet scoring twice in a pre-season friendly last Saturday for his former club
This prompted the club to swoop for the player from the National League. He becomes the latest player to join the club from Dagenham and went straight into tonight’s squad against Hornchurch.
Lovell was instrumental in the signings that the club have made this summer, with a large number of the players well known to him from his time at Gillingham.
He joined the club earlier in the year to work alongside Kevin Watson and stayed when Watson departed and worked with new manager Dennis Kutrieb during the summer on their recruitment to build a squad capable of challenging in the 2020/21 season.
The club also announced today that they will be moving their training ground from K Sports to Dartford Valley Community Rugby Club.
