Bearsted go through to the Semi Finals of the Kent Senior Trophy after a dramatic finish winning with a 120th minute goal.
This game was not the best as both sides gave the ball away too many times for either managers pleasure.
Bearsted might have played the better football but neither side troubled the opposition keepers for the first 105 minutes of the game. Indeed the game looked as if it was going to penalties but in dramatic fashion Bearsted got over the line.
The first half was only two minutes old when Luke Medley tried his luck from 20 yards but his shot was easily saved by Scott Andrews.
Minutes later David Baronowski saw his effort go over the bar from 20 yards.
In the 22nd minute Bearsted had a half chance to take the lead when Lucian Scarlat saw his near post cross toe poked towards goal by Emmanual Oluwasemo but Rilwan Avibaba was equal to the effort.
Another half chance came four minutes later when Baronowski’s free kick from the by-line was met by Matt Garner but his header went high & wide.
The second half was slightly better than the first, in the 62nd minute Medley received the ball in the area but his cross shot evaded everyone.
Four minutes later Oluwasemo this time managed to bear Anibaba but his effort wasnt hard enough as Jai McKinley got back & cleared it for a corner.
Bearsted had four half chances to win the game but failed to convert the opportunies. James Bassey-Saldanho sent two efforts high and wide before Scarlet saw his shot from distance saved by Anibaba.
In the fifth minute of added on time Baronowski’s cross was met by Andy Irvine but his header came back of the crossbar.
The first half of extra time saw no real meaningful efforts on goal but the game came to life in the final 15 minutes of the tie.
In the 107th minute Emmanual Maja was sent off for a second bookable offence, then three minutes later a cross into the area saw Irvine’s header saved.
Minutes later Bearsted had the go ahead goal, a quick breakway fed Jon Rogers and once in the area he chipped it over Anibaba.
The goal forced Lordswood to come out their shell and they equalised when Medley latched onto a long ball before going round Andrews and slotting into an empty net.
Time was running out and penalties looked likely, however there was a late sting in Lordswood tail as Bodomurodov fired in from 8 yards shot to win the game and break Lordswood hearts.
