A lovely night in Sussex greeted Jason Euell’s squad. The Addicks sported an all white kit and were captained by keeper, Dillon Phillips, a rare event for Charlton.
Addicks fans wanting to attend the game would have found travel difficult, as the cancellation of Brighton trains caused chaos at Victoria.
Euell was also able to field Loic Nego and included two French trialists, defender Joaskim Dowa and striker Stephane Valcy, in his 18 man squad as well as Ollie Lee, who has been playing in America.
The game was an open affair with chances for both sides, but ended in a 0-0 stalemate.

Bob Peeters’ senior squad travel to Peterborough on Wednesday evening for their most serious outing so far. Peeters will take a full strength side and it is likely several players will play the whole 90 minutes.
Loic Remy was included at Lewes on Tuesday so is unlikely to be in the squad. Chris Solly, after playing last Wednesday and Saturday, may not feature until Portsmouth at the weekend.
Bette noire, Reza Ghoochannejhad, has been training with Jason Euell’s development squad, so is another unlikely to figure at London Road.
After Peterborough, Charlton will complete their pre-season preparations at Portsmouth on Saturday.
