Gills Ladies progressed through to the next round of the Kent Cup on Sunday afternoon with ease.
The Gills ran out 7-0 winners thanks to a hat trick from Natalie Crinean, and a goal apiece from Lauren Phillips, Katie Hardaker, Emma Tune and Charlotte Abbott.
With four goals in the first half and a further three in the second it really was plain sailing for the girls.
Corinthians almost took a shock lead in the opening minute as a mix up at the back led to a shot across goal which Laura East and Sarah Quantrill did well to deal with.
After that Gills took control and it became attack versus defence for the remainder of the game. The Gills had 32 attempts on goal and managed to convert seven of them.
Natalie Crinean opened the scoring on eight minutes after a good run was finished by a cross come shot aided with a light deflection.
The Ladies doubled their lead on 15 minutes as Lauren Phillips deep cross evaded the keeper and landed in the back of the net.
It was 3-0 not long after on 22 minutes as a Danni Farmer corner caused confusion in the Corinthians defence and Katie Hardaker tapped home from close range.
Natalie Crinean then got her 2nd goal on 35 minutes after expertly rounding the keeper and scoring from a tight angle.
Half Time 0-4
It was 5-0 two minutes after the restart and Natalie Crinean completed her hat trick with the goal of the game. A ball was played into her on edge of the box and in one movement she turned and fired the ball into the top corner.
Emma Tune made it 6-0 after her free kick flew in off the underside of the bar and Charlotte Abbott rounded off the scoring with a 25 yard effort which left the keeper no chance into the bottom corner.
The Ladies now entertain Anchorians Ladies at home on December 18th in the next round.
