Dover Athletic’s fight against relegation from the National League received a big boost on Monday.
After finishing Saturday’s drawn derby with Bromley at Crabble with nine men, it was announced that the FA have rescinded the red card shown to defender Kevin Lokko.
Lokko who ironically had given Andy Hessenthaler’s side the first half lead was dismissed along with team mate Bedsente Gomis on the hour for what was described as a “fracas in the Bromley area.”
With both looking set to miss Dover’s game at Havant & Waterlooville next weekend, Hessenthaler told KSN of his delight of at least having Lokko available for the trip to Hampshire.
He told us, “I’m delighted at the news – justice done! And we now more importantly don’t lose him for important League games coming up in the next couple of weeks with Havant, Gateshead and Harrogate.”
