The Kent Speedway management have today had second thoughts about signing 17-year-old grasstrack rider Connor Locke.

He was to be a member of the SLYDE Kings team for 2016, but they have released him from any contractual commitment.

Co-promoter, Len Silver commented: “It was impossible for the club to deliver the full team place which Connor and his family were seeking and rather than have disharmony, it was felt that it was better in the long term for there to be a parting of the ways.”

“Of course the club wish Connor all the very best for what could be a very bright future in the sport.”
