Floodlight football returns to The Alex Yee Ladywell Arena on Wednesday evening when Lewisham Borough Community FC host Halls AFC in a Southern Counties East Football League Division One match.

Although neither team is one hundred percent safe from finishing in the bottom three, there would have to be an extraordinary run of results for either to end in the relegation zone. Lewisham showed their credentials on Saturday with an outstanding four-nil win over Canterbury City that cost the troubled club second place in the table.
Chibueze Echem scored twice in three minutes to give Borough a two goal half time lead. Adekunle Adeyinka added a third eighteen minutes after the break and Zac Ajose rounded off the scoring with two minutes remaining.
Meanwhile, Halls were claiming a good point in a goal-less draw at Bridon Ropes to extend their unbeaten run to five matches which has pulled them away from the drop zone.
This will be the return meeting between the clubs as Halls hosted Lewisham at the end of September. Adeyinka scored for the visitors in the fifth minute but Junior Amusan equalised shortly before half time.
The game looked to be heading towards a draw until Michael Amponsah won it for Lewisham in the ninth minute of stoppage time.
