Leicester are in fine form and cruising towards the Premier League. The Foxes recently went on a nine match winning run in the league and have won ten and drawn three of their last thirteen games.
The Addicks have a good record against Leicester and Nigel Pearson will be keen to beat the man he introduced to the world of coaching. Chris Powell has won all three of the previous encounters against his mentor.
Pearson keeps it simple, does not confuse his team with changing his game plan, but sticks rigidly to a 4-4-2 shape. He has recruited plenty of options up front and has an array of wide players at his disposal.
The Foxes will attack Charlton with pace and power and it will as severe a test for Michael Morrison and his defence as they have faced all season.
Powell normally matches up with the opposition so will probably opt for 4-4-2 type line-up as well. He will have to assess the fitness levels of his players as this game will be drain them physically.
Ben Hamer was superb on his return to the team at Hillsborough and should keep his place. Lawrie Wilson is the only senior right-back option and is set to continue. Morgan Fox acquitted himself well on his debut on Monday but is likely to drop to the bench, with Rhoys Wiggins taking his place. Morrison and Richard Wood are likely to be the central pairing.
The midfield will probably comprise of youngsters Jordan Cousins, Callum Harriott and Diego Poyet, with skipper, Johnnie Jackson, completing the quartet.
Simon Church will be the main striker with former Leicester man, Astrit Ajdarevic playing just behind.
Charlton could start with this team:
Hamer; Wilson, Morrison, Wood, Wiggins; Cousins, Poyet, Jackson, Harriott; Ajdarevic, Church.
Subs: Thuram-Ulien, Fox, Dervite, Green, Hughes, Sordell, Tudgay.
The referee will be Jeremy Simpson from Lancashire.
The Foxes are an irresistible force at the moment and it will be a major bonus for Powell if his team can take something from the game.
