Midfielder Olly Lee has played his last game for The Gills and returned to West Ham after failing to land a new loan deal at Priestfield.
The 20 year old son of former England international Rob played just the seven games with Gillingham since agreeing a loan deal at the end of February.
In that time he has largely been used as a substitute and failed to impress Gillingham manager Andy Hessenthaler sufficiently to be kept on until the end of the season.
The midfielder will now return to Upton Park where he will spend the last month of the season before seemingly being released in the summer.
Lee’s last appearance was a substitute in Saturday’s goalless draw at Oxford United, coming off the bench. In seven apperances, Lee failed to score any goals.
