Charlton completed the signing of Joe Ledley on Friday.
The former Crystal Palace and Wales midfielder has been unattached since being released by Derby in January. His last appearance for the Rams was in August 2018.
Ledley says he is fit and wants to play as many games as possible. He has signed an initial four week deal and is available for today’s game at Middlesbrough. Ledley will wear the number 16 shirt.
Lee Bowyer had this to say after the deal was completed:
“He has experience, he has been in the game a long time, he’s an international player. He’ll come in again and help the young lads that are in around it. I’m over the moon to have him on board.”
Ledley added:
“I’m happy to be back in football and playing again. I want to play as many games as possible, to come here, play football and show everyone what I can do.
“It’s a good club to be at, they are a great bunch of lads, I know a few of them here and they’ve welcomed me straight away.”
