Two late changes affect the CTA Fire Kings side in this evening’s season closing Tunnel Trophy match vs. Arena Essex Young Hammers.
Benji Compton suffered a dislocated shoulder in a crash up at Scunthorpe at the weekend and so is unavailable – his place in the Kent side is to be covered by a guest: the hugely popular former League Riders Champion, Jon Armstrong.
The Mighty Midget’s 2014 Stoke Potters team-mate, Chris Widman (who has impressed in his previous appearances at Central Park this term) is also guesting for the CTA Fire Kings – coming in for the unavailable Jason Garrad.
As with last week (when rain right at start time prevented this much-anticipated local derby match from going ahead) Kent will be using Rider Replacement for the injured David Mason.
The teams line up then as follows (alphabetical order):
KENT: Jon Armstrong (Guest), Danny Ayres, Aaron Baseby, Simon Lambert (captain), Ben Morley, Chris Widman (Guest)
ARENA ESSEX: Mark Baseby, Luke Chessell, James Cockle, Luke Harris, Jack Kingston, Marc Owen (captain), Stefan Nielsen
The action gets underway at 6.30pm – readmission tickets from last week will give free admission (customers are advised that if they bought a programme last Friday they should bring that with them as the race card will be used from that programme).
After the action, they’ll be a Presentation Event in the Central Bar when the riders will say their farewells for 2014 and trophies will be presented including the Club award (voted for by supporters) for Kent CTA Fire Kings Rider of the Year and the Buckmore Park Karting award for top points scorer.
