Welling travel to Kidderminster Harriers on Saturday, on the back of another disappointing home performance.FOOTBALL (WELLING HOME)

Since the turn of the year, their midweek performances at home have been mixed with one win, one draw and three defeats.

Players are now returning from illness and injury and manager Jamie Day will be hoping he has the luxury of competition for places. However, the next Saturday game afterwards has seen the Wings victorious and they will hope to keep that run going in Worcestershire on Saturday.

Again, Jake Gallagher will be absent and Jamie Day may well have another run out after his impressive performance at Alfreton last Saturday.

He now has a fairly fill squad available and the players rested on Tuesday may be given a start. Mystery surrounds the fact that Vasillious Karagiannis has not had any playing time since his last touch of the ball was scoring at home to Chester, despite being on the bench at every game since.

Earlier in the season, Kidderminster became the first visiting team to win at Park View Road for seventeen months. James Dance scored twice in the first half and although Loui Fazakerley pulled one back late on, the Harriers were good value for the three points.

At the time, they looked a good bet for a play-off place but now they lie in eleventh place, just four points ahead of the Wings.

Following the news that Day has extended his contract for another two years comes another pleasing bulletin advising that Lee Butcher, Fazakerley and Gallagher have committed themselves to Welling again next season.

It is likely that the Wings will have a good turnout for their final Saturday away game in their first Skrill Premier season since getting promoted.
