Kent captain Charlotte Edwards will lead her unbeaten Women’s team at their only match at County HQ this Sunday.
The Kent side will play Warwickshire, 11am start, in the Royal London Women’s Championship 50 over clash, in Canterbury.
The team has been impressive in its first two outings of the season. They crushed Yorkshire in a 173 run victory at Upchurch CC spearheaded by Edwards’ 129 and Tamsin Beaumont’s 86.
Megan Belt recorded bowling figures of 3 – 12 as Kent posted 265 – 5, whilst Yorkshire were bowled out for just 92.
The first away match of the season, at Edmonton CC against Middlesex, was a closer affair with Kent winning by 34 runs.
They batted first and rattled up 231 – 9, top scorers Beaumont, 53, and Laura Marsh 50, and then managed to restrict their opponents to 197 all out. Key bowling contributors were Erin Bermingham 3-22 and Charlotte Pape 2-16
