Kent Cricket have revealed its full Kent Women squad for the 2025 season, pending ECB ratification, which will compete in League Two of the Women’s Vitality Blast & Women’s Metro Bank One Day Cup.
Following an extensive period of player identification, trials at The County Ground, Beckenham and a Winter training programme, Women’s Head Coach James Hockley has confirmed a squad of 20 players to wear the White Horse this coming Summer.
Captained by Megan Belt & assisted by Coco Streets as Vice Captain, the Horses’ squad for 2025 includes new recruits in the likes of former Surrey captain Amy Gordon, Essex’s 2024 Women’s Player of the year Matilda Callaghan and two of her teammates at Chelmsford, opening bowler Grace Poole & right-hander Jessica Bird.
The squad has a core of Kent produced-talent – 2024 Women’s Player of the Year Genevieve Jeer will once again feature for Kent in 2025 alongside her commitments to Surrey’s Women’s Academy, and she joins 11 other products of Kent’s infamous Female Talent Pathway.
Wicketkeeper-batter and former Kent Community Coach Molly Davis, who chose to step away from the game in 2019, returns after impressing at the Club’s trial day at Beckenham with the bat & gloves – she is joined by players such as Ella Darlington, who scored 150* on 50-over debut against Hampshire last year,
All-rounder Sophie Singer joins Kent after impressing for Suffolk, Isabella James moves to Kent from Cambridgeshire, and James’ Sunrisers Academy teammate, seamer Elsa Barnfather, has also committed to Kent for 2025.
