Max Orrin clearly still enjoyed himself despite failing to qualify for the final round of the European Challenge Tour Northern Ireland Open at Galgorm Castle in Ballymena.
The Birchington player missed out on qualifying for Sunday’s final round after recording a three-round total of five-under-par 208 but “tweeted” afterwards: “Gutted with my early exit but a great week, an unreal course and brilliant crowds.”
Fellow Kent professional Matt Ford, from Bearsted, saw his chances of making the final round disappear with a two-over-par third round 73 which meant he finished with a two-over-par total of 215.
On the junior front, Kent Girls are playing in the South Region Junior Girls County Week at Royal Winchester GC this week.
