Kent fans will get their first look at new signings Brendan Nash and Scott Newman when Glamorgan visit Canterbury on Tuesday.
In a game that is set to start at 12pm and played under CB40 rules, Kent look to give a run out to their new overseas signing who arrived in the country on Saturday, whilst Newman will get his first hit in a Kent shirt ahead of his two month loan spell.
Kent also welcome back wicketkeeper Geraint Jones who missed the pre-season trip to Antigua as he was playing for Papua New Guinea in the World Twenty 20 Qualifiers.
The game could also see Kent give a game to seamer Steve Cheetham who was released by Lancashire at the end of last season. Cheetham had a loan spell at Surrey in 2010 and is looking to find himself a new county for the 2012 season.
Tuesday’s One Day game against Glamorgan will be followed by a two day game against the same opponents, again at Canterbury before the new season begins against Yorkshire at Headingley next Thursday morning.
The Kent squad to face Glamorgan will be: Rob Key, Scott Newman, Sam Billings, Alex Blake, Brendan Nash, Darren Stevens, Ben Harmison, Geraint Jones, Ivan Thomas, Matt Coles, Sam Northeast, Steven Cheetham.
