Kent Cricket have revealed the design for Kent Spitfires’ Royal London Cup playing shirts in the 2022 season, created by British sportswear company, Castore.

Kent’s Royal London Cup shirts once again celebrate the most famous British aircraft of all time, the Supermarine Spitfire. Alongside the bespoke Spitfire camouflage design that once adorned the fuselage of the aircraft, map grids also represent the role of the Spitfire in integral reconnaissance missions during the aircraft’s operational lifetime.

Working in close partnership with Castore, the Club’s 50-over playing shirts are adorned in traditional one-day sky blue, a colourway for Kent Cricket dating back to the early 1990s, with flashes of the Club’s core colours of navy blue and cherry red.

The front and back of the Spitfires’ new one-day shirt also features the logo of Club Elite Partners, WW Martin, who have had their branding proudly sitting the Club’s one-day playing shirts since 2017.

Spitfires supporters are able to purchase their 2022 Royal London Cup shirts now at the Kent Cricket Shop inside The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence in Canterbury, and will be able to order online via a dedicated Kent Cricket x Castore webpage hosted by the Club’s Official Kit Supplier in the coming weeks, with more details to follow in due course.

Kent Cricket’s Director of Partnerships, Andy Griffiths, said: “Following the successful launch of our Vitality Blast shirts earlier this month, we’re excited to reveal another innovative design for our Royal London Cup campaign this season.

“We have had a lot of positive feedback from our players, Members and supporters on the quality and design of our new Vitality Blast playing shirt, and I’m sure the Royal London Cup shirts will prove just as popular.”

2022 playing shirts are priced at £50 for adults and £45 for juniors. Valid 2022 Kent Members receive 10% off their purchase of Kent Spitfires’ 2022 Castore Royal London Cup playing shirt in-store at the Kent Cricket Shop.
