Kent have bolstered their bowling attack with the signing of paceman Harry Podmore from Middlesex.
The 23-year-old has taken 31 wickets in 12 first class matches to date and took a career-best 4/54 against Somerset on the way to winning the Specsavers County Championship title in 2016.
Podmore took 11 wickets at an average of 21.81 that season before loan moves to Derbyshire and Glamorgan to gain match practice.
He said: “I’m delighted to join Kent and I’m looking forward to the opportunity.
“I made my first-class debut at The Spitfire Ground and I can’t wait to get to work with Matt Walker, Allan Donald and an exciting squad hungry for success.”
He has played six List A games and 20 T20 matches in his career to date.
Head coach Matt Walker said: “It’s a great acquisition for Kent. Harry is a talented bowler who we believe can thrive here.
“He is a skilful operator across all formats and a great character who will be an asset to our attack.”
