Kent set to unveil new coach

Kent County Cricket Club will introduce their new Head Coach to media on Tuesday 3rd January.

A media conference will take place from 2pm at the St Lawrence Ground, which will include a welcome from Jamie Clifford, CEO.

The Club began the recruitment process in October, following the departure of Paul Farbrace, who left the Club in September following two years service as Director of Cricket.

Kent Cricket CEO, Jamie Clifford commented; “We are delighted to now be in a position to announce the Club’s new Head Coach. The selection process has been extremely thorough and I am very pleased that we have a very high calibre individual coming to Kent.

“I look forward to making an announcement on Tuesday and introducing our new Head Coach to our members and supporters.”

Much speculation has surrounded the name of the club’s new Head Coach with over forty applicants having been reduced to six that were interviewed.

The new man will have plenty of new players at his disposal with Charlie Shreck, Mike Powell and Ben Harmison already having agreed deals at Canterbury.
