Kent are being linked with a move for Middlesex seamer Harry Podmore to boost their bowling options.

The 23 year old has found chances limited at Lord’s, making just the four first class appearances for the London side and has had spells with both Glamorgan and Derbyshire.

Having found competition for places tough at Middlesex, Podmore is being tipped to sign a three year deal at Canterbury, supplementing the bowling options available under Matt Walker and Allan Donald.

With Matt Coles having left for Essex at the end of last season, Kent have been looking to add more depth to their squad and the addition of Podmore would fill the void.

Mitchell Claydon is rumoured to have a hand injury, leaving Kent with a lack of experience going into the new season.
