The Kent Kings have confirmed that the May 6th opening speedway meeting at Central Park will be versus the American Dream Team.

Always popular visitors to our shores each season, the American tourists expect to track a mixture of experience and enthusiasm in their side.

Some completely new riders to the UK will be seen for the first time including some Californians who are experts on the small US circuits.

Kings team manager, John Sampford is cautious about the outcome, “The Americans are always tough nuts to crack and with the riders I expect them to track, it will be a real test for the new Kings team, I can’t wait until May 6th” said Sampford when he heard that the match had been confirmed.

Co-Promoter Len Silver was delighted and commented, “We have been negotiating with the Americans for several weeks and I am over the moon that confirmation arrived today. We will get the full make-up of the Dream Team in a few days and will make that news public as soon as we get it.”
