Kent Kings Speedway team are all set for their first ever fixture at Central Park as the newly formed team steps up its preparations.
They open their doors for the public for the first time on Bank Holiday Monday for their first official race, and what a first race it is as well.
A touring party of American Internationals will arrive at Central Park ahead of the start of their domestic season.
With only five Americans able to make the trip to Kent, they have today announced that they have called up Scott Campos and Jason Garrity to complete their seven man team for the fixture.
The action gets underway at 3pm on a brand new track that none of the teams’ riders have ever competed on before. The gates at Central Park will open at 1pm with stands for supporters to view in the run up to the action including:
- Blast from the Past – their full Cardiff GP display
- Friends of Speedway – try out their gating machine to see how fast you are
- Speedway Ride N Slide Dayz – have a go yourself at one of their days
- Margate Beach Cross – check out bikes that race on sand
- QRAUK – check out their quad bike and look out for the special guest on the quad!
- Frittenden Grasstrack
- Iwade Speedway Mini Track
Fans will get the chance to be able to purchase their Kent Kings souvenirs from the merchandising stand, as well as a stand from the Kings official photographer ESA (Tony and Denise Fowles).
Speaking ahead of the event on Bank Holiday Monday Commercial Manager, Neil ‘Nikko’ Day, said: “Although we are all looking forward with the launch of the Kent CTA Fire Kings at Central Park, we also wanted to pay homage to the some past Kent legends and therefore we are pleased that the following riders have agreed to join us on the day.
