The Kent CTA Fire Kings will go in search of that all illusive first victory as a speedway team this weekend as they host King’s Lynn Young Stars.Kent Kings6

Having been newly formed this season they have yet to record their first victory and they will be hoping they can do this in their first National League encounter on Monday evening.

The Stars have some issues of their own and have been forced to make some changes brining in Steve Worrall to mount their challenge at Central Park.

Kings rider Adam Kirby is hoping that he can put the blow-up that he suffered on Sunday behind him and try and collect his first double figure points haul of the season.

Looking ahead to the racing on Monday evening the reserve rider said: “Buxton was an expensive day for me; I need a new piston, barrel and con-rod to start with after blowing my engine in my 4th ride. I should have scored in my last ride but my plug cap came off. I was disappointed not to of scored 10 or 11 points on Monday as I felt I could of done.”

Skipper Steve Boxall will be hoping that his fellow riders follow in the footsteps of he and new boy Benji Compton who both scored double points scores over the bank holiday weekend fixtures.

The team certainly feel that the all-important first victory is just around the corner, and they are hoping it comes this Monday at home to the Young Starts, the action gets underway at 6:30pm at Central Park stadium.

Team Line-ups for National League meeting on Monday are from;

KING’S LYNN YOUNG STARS: Lewis Kerr (C), Steven Worrall, Shane Hazelden, Lewis Rose, Chris Widman, Shane Waldron, Darren Mallett, Team manager: Dale Allitt
