Kent SLYDE Kings’ 2018 season gets underway this evening (Friday 6/4) with a National Trophy Southern Group match away at Plymouth Speedway.
For the first time in a rain drenched week, the weather Gods have actually smiled on the Central Park-based club with the postponement of Glasgow’s home match with Workington all the way at the other end of the UK, meaning that the Kings’s Jack Thomas (who was due to miss his team’s trip to Plymouth whilst on duty with the SGB Championship Scottish side he now also rides for) is now available to appear at the St. Boniface Arena.
Team boss Chris Hunt had already decided to cover for Thomas’ anticipated absense by the use of the Rider Replacement facility and that decision now looks inspired, as it means the teenager is now able to take up his place and so Kent are at full strength. Youngsters Taylor Hampshire and Jacob Clouting make their SLYDE Kings’ debuts this evening.
The hosts are at full strength also.
