Kent duo Ross Twyman and Sam Wilford will make the move up to the British Supersport championship for the 2016 season.
EHA Racing have this weekend announced that the talented young racers will be part of a three pronged attack, with Wilford riding for the team’s satellite team. The duo will be joined by David Allingham.
The team who finished runner-up in last year’s Supersport Evo class are now ready to battle for championship honours with 20-year-old Allingham, who was a podium finisher in the Evo class last season and 20-year-old Twyman progresses from the Pirelli National Superstock 600 Championship.
Speaking about making the move to the Supersport championship, Twyman said:”I am really pleased to have signed with EHA Racing for 2016. I’m looking forward to the move up to the Supersport class and can’t thank the team enough for this opportunity. I am up for the challenge and will be giving it my best – I can’t wait to start working with the team and getting out for our first test.”
Wilford meanwhile was victorious in the Aprilia RRV450 Challenge title despite missing several races and competed in the European Junior Cup, scoring a podium finish.
Giving his thoughts on a new challenge for the coming season, Wilford said: “I’m absolutely over the moon to be riding as part of EHA Racing in the Supersport series for my 2016 campaign. I am looking forward to this new challenge on the Yamaha R6; it’s going to be a learning year with loads to take in, but I’m sure we can make it a positive one. With only a few months to go before the new season I can’t wait to get out there.”
