Two Kent cyclists will ride between nine county cricket grounds in five days to raise funds for charity.Neil Scott (L) & Paul Cook (R) (2)

Local Kent lads, Neil Scott of Ditton and Paul Cook of Orpington will cycle the length of the Midlands and South England in a gruelling 5 day test of endurance between 9 county crickets grounds, starting on Monday 12 August 2013 and finishing at Neil Scott’s home ground Addington Village Cricket Club, Addington all in the hope to achieve £15,000 in donations to Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Charitable Fund.

The tour will begin at Worcester Cricket Ground, followed by Edgbaston, then Derby, Nottingham, Leicester, Northamptonshire, London’s famous Lord’s Cricket Ground and Kia Oval, on to Canterbury and finishing at their local home ground of Addington Village Cricket Club for a celebration event on Friday 16 August 2013.

At each ground the pair hope to collect signed memorabilia from county players including signed shirts and bats which will be raffled off at the end of the ride to help gain much needed funds to support this worthy charity which is close to their hearts.Neil Scott

The ride itself has been inspired by a lifelong friend, keen sportsman and ex-Addington Village Cricket Club player, Kevin Smither of Kings Hill, who continues to be an inspiration to all those around him with his unrelenting positivity during the trails of living with terminal cancer.

Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Charitable Fund has supported Kevin and his family and is a vital source of care to so many families affected by cancer across Kent and further.

All donations are gratefully received via Just Giving at www.justgiving.com/neilscott200 or text SIFS 51 £(amount) to 70070
